2022 WE DRAFT announces plans to partner with 31 NYS "namesake" K-12 schools.

Alfred University's Art Force 5 will continue their tradition of rooting for women's empowerment with an enthusiasm inspired by professional sports fans. The third annual draft will seek to partner 31 SUNY schools with 31 K-12 schools in New York State that are named after women. The 31 icons will be creatively celebrated throughout March with custom-made basketball jerseys, collectable trading cards, mosaic portrait painting, and a collaborative short film featuring students from each school.

Students involved with the Art Force 5 class will begin confirming K-12 schools and SUNY partners in November and December, Basketball jerseys will be printed and mailed in early 2022 for a February on-line gathering of representatives from each K-12 school. A final video will be released on International Women's Day on March 11 with each day in March dedicated to a different icon under the tags #WEDRAFT and #WEDRAFT2022. Each K-12 school and sponsoring college is encouraged to create a creative post on their designated day.
